Our Roadmap highlights the new features and improvements that we’re planning for across OpenCities.

If you are curious about what is in store please reach out. We are happy to share our Roadmap with you and talk about what you would like to see.

We are committed to executing rapid and iterative improvements based on our vision of OpenCities and feedback from our customers. 

Completed product updates and improvements

October 2020

  • New capabilities for our Eventbrite integration module. Use this premium module to automatically import Eventbrite events into OpenCities, where residents can register and buy tickets without leaving your sites.
  • Okta authentication. We're expanding our single sign-on authentication options to include the Okta authentication cloud. This extends our existing authentication connection option, Azure AD.
  • Easily add sidebars to your content. Have you always wanted to add a sidebar to your general content pages? Now you can. Simply jump into our new WYSIWYG-powered sidebar option.
  • And 7 more improvements all detailed in our customer-facing What is coming in October page

May 2020

  • Top tasks and mega menus. Get your residents to where they need to go. Use top tasks in navigation to promote your site's main highways.
  • An OC Editor role. Users with this role can update existing content, but not create or delete pages
  • COVID-19 announcements. Add prominent COVID-19 announcements (such as public health or temporary closure notices) to any page of your site with our special announcements feature.
  • Extended logins. Now when you log in to the OpenCities admin area, that login will remain valid for a full working day.

  • Keep residents in the loop with cancelled events.

  • Sign on across multiple sites with Azure AD.
