Integrations with Document Management Systems (DMS) allow you to import documents, images, and attached metadata into your CMS for use on your content pages. Updates made to documents in your DMS will sync across, so you only need to make updates once.
The functionality of an integration with a DMS includes:
- Import documents marked for publishing from the DMS into the CMS.
- Automatically convert DMS source documents to PDF format.
- Option to remove or delete the document from the DMS after it's imported.
- Specify the destination folder by record type.
- Import additional document metadata fields alongside the document.
Integrate Your System
Because each TRIM system is unique, the steps for integrating your systems will also be unique. To get started, please contact your Project Manager or Customer Success Consultant by raising a support case, and then we'll walk you through it.
Prerequisites
To integrate with a DMS, you need:
- Install rights on the Windows Server where the OpenCities DMS Integration Service will be installed.
- Your DMS/RMS Administrator will need to create a few user-defined fields to support the OpenCities DMS Integration Service.
