This task can be undertaken by users with the following roles: OC Site Manager and OC System Administrator.
You can manage settings for the Public Notices module from Site Management.
- From the main menu, go to More > Site Management > your site > Settings
- Select Public Notice.
- Make your changes
- Save your changes
Settings for the Public Notices module
| Location of the listing page |
Use this field to indicate the public notices listing page. If you've chosen to show public notices on your homepage, this link will be used when visitors click to see more notices. This is a predictive text field, so start typing the Page name of your listing page and then select it from the list. |
| Public notice categories |
You can enter a new category option by typing it into the Enter new category field and selecting Add. You can also delete our preset categories or drag them to change their order in the list. Your visitors can click the categories on a notice page to see all other notices in that category. Note: deleting a category will remove this information from all OC Public Notice pages that have been assigned that category. This means that you will need to revisit all pages with this category and assign them a new one. |
| Authors must comment upon publishing? | Select this option to make it mandatory for authors to add a comment about their changes before publishing the page. |

Choose how feedback forms are treated: Disabled: Feedback forms will not show on public notice pages. Turn on and show on pages by default: The feedback form will automatically be shown on OC Public Notice pages, with the option to turn it off. Turn on but hide on pages by default: The feedback form will not show on OC Public Notice pages, with the option to turn it on. Learn more about user feedback. |

Page discussions (Community Engagement module – premium) |
Choose how page discussions are treated: Disabled: Page discussions will not show on public notice pages. Turn on and use site-wide setting: This is the default status for page discussions in Site Management (More > Site Management > your site > Settings > Page Discussions > Site-wide setting). The 2 settings available are: Turn on and show on pages by default: Page discussions will automatically be shown on OC Public Notice pages, with the option to turn it off. Page subscriptions |
