This task is for users with the OC Site Manager or OC System Administrator roles.
Featured sections separate areas of your site using a secondary header, logo, and navigation menu. You can use them to give departments or sections of your site their own cohesive visual identity. Featured sections are beneficial when you want to delineate groups of pages without using a landing page or creating an entire subsite.
Featured sections can be made from any page on your main site, Intranet, or subsite. When creating a featured section, you must assign a "homepage" for that section. Every child page published below that top-level section homepage will be included in that featured section.
Create and Manage Featured Sections
Before creating a featured section, you must publish the homepage for that section. You may also want to complete all the child pages for that section to see what the finished section will look like.
To create a featured section:
- Go to More > Site Management > your site > Settings from the main menu.
- Select Featured sections.
- Select the options for the featured section.
- Save your changes.
- Check your live site to make sure the section looks as it should.
When you Save a featured section, the changes will immediately appear on your live site. You may want to create your section using a test page hidden from navigation and search so you can see how it looks before going live.
Featured Section Options
Use the following information to create your featured section:

| Section title | The title of your featured section that appears in the section header. You will have a section title field for each language if you have multiple languages installed on your site. |
| Section homepage | Use this field to indicate the top-level page, or "homepage," of your featured section. This is a predictive search field so start typing the Page name of your page and select the correct one from the list. |
| Hide section homepage title | Check this box to hide the Page title of your section's homepage. This can prevent duplicate headings if your Page title and Section title are the same. |
| Link title & logo to section homepage | Check this box to create a link between your section homepage and the section's heading and logo. Site visitors will click the header or logo from any page in the section and return to the section homepage. |
| Show section menu | Check this box to create a navigation menu for your section. The menu will display as a drop-down from the section heading and include all the pages within that section. |

Select the Upload logo button to upload a logo for the section. We recommend using SVG images for logos of 200 px by 200 px. The maximum size accepted is 800 px. You can choose to Hide section title by checking the box in your Section logo options. This differs from the Hide section homepage title checkbox, which, when checked, will hide the Page title of the section homepage. |

Featured Section Styling
This task is for users with the OC Site Designer role.
Site designers can define additional styles for featured sections in the theme builder. Go to More > Themes Management > your theme > Styles > Featured Sections to define elements like colors, fonts, and padding.
Featured section styling is site-wide, meaning styling changes made here are applied to each featured section on your site. If your section requires more individual styling options, such as extensive branding options, or additional functionalities, consider creating a new subsite.
