Manage your Accommodation and Attraction module settings

This task is for users with the following roles: OC Site Manager and OC System Administrator.

You can manage the settings for the Accommodation and Attraction modules from Site Management.

  1. Go to More > Site Management > your site > Settings from the main menu.
  2. Select Accommodation to edit your Accommodation module settings.

  3. Or, select Tourist Attractions to edit your Attraction module settings.

  4. Make your changes.
  5. Select Save and Save Settings.

Accommodation and Attraction module settings

Use the information below to edit your module settings. Some fields will only be available for one module.

Attraction types - Attraction only

When syncing tourist attractions, you can choose which types to sync, and you can add or delete the preset options for each type. The types of OC Tourist Attractions are:

  • OC Attraction Type
  • OC Destination Information Type
  • OC Food and Drink Type
  • OC General Services Type
  • OC Hire Type
  • OC Information Services Type
  • OC Journey Type
  • OC Tour Type
  • OC Transport Type

Add a new type option in the Enter new type field and select Add. You can also delete our pre-set types or drag them to change their order in the list.

Accommodation type - Accommodation only

Add a new type option in the Enter new accommodation type field and select Add. You can also delete our pre-set types or drag them to change their order in the list.

Site visitors will be able to filter your accommodation listing by these types.

Authors must comment upon publishing? Select this option to make it mandatory for authors to add a comment about their changes before publishing the page.
Feedback form

Choose how feedback forms are treated:

Disabled: Feedback forms will not show on accommodation or attraction pages.

Turn on and show on pages by default: The feedback form will automatically be shown on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option to turn it off.

Turn on but hide on pages by default: The feedback form will not show on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option of turn it on.

Form to use for feedback If you have multiple page feedback forms, select which one to use for these pages.

Page discussions

(Community Engagement module – premium)

Choose how page discussions are treated:

Disabled: Page discussions will not show on accommodation or attraction pages.

Turn on and use site-wide setting: This is the default status for page discussions in Site Management (More > Site Management > your site > Settings > Page Discussions > Site-wide setting). The 2 settings available are:

Turn on and show on pages by default: Page discussions will automatically be shown on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option to turn it off.

Turn on but hide on pages by default: Page discussions will not show on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option to turn it on.

Page subscriptions

Choose how page subscriptions are treated:

Disabled: Page subscriptions will not show on accommodation or attraction pages.

Turn on and use site-wide setting: This is the default status for page subscriptions in Site Management (More > Site Management > your site > Settings Subscriptions > Site-wide setting for pages). The 2 settings available are:

Turn on and show on pages by default: Page subscriptions will automatically be shown on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option to turn it off.

Turn on but hide on pages by default: Page subscriptions will not show on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option to turn it on.

Related content

Choose how Related content is treated:

Disabled: Related content will not show on accommodation or attraction pages.

Turn on and use site-wide setting: This is the default status for related content in Site Management (More > Site Management > your site > Settings > Related content > Site-wide setting). The 2 settings available are:

Turn on and show on pages by default: Related content will automatically be shown on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option to turn it off.

Turn on but hide on pages by default: Related content will not show on accommodation or attraction pages, with the option to turn it on.
