This task is for users with the OC Site Manager or OC System Administrator roles.

By July 1st, 2023, all Universal Analytics (UA) properties will stop processing data to make way for Google Analytics 4 (GA4). You should have already started dual tagging with GA4, providing a relevant dataset. Now, we have made it possible to connect your Insights Dashboard with a GA4 property.

These instructions are for users who have already connected a Google Analytics UA property to their Insights Dashboard and want to switch the data source to GA4. If you have not, please see the following options:

Switch Your Insights Dashboard to Read GA4 Data

As you have already set up your Insights Dashboard to read data from UA and begun dual tagging with GA4, the last step is to allow your Insights Dashboard to display GA4 data. For this, you'll need to enable two APIs:

  1. Log in to the Google Developer Console and select your project from the My Project drop-down menu.
  2. Select Enable APIs and Services to go to the API Library.
  3. Search for Google Analytics Data API, then select and Enable it.

  4. Search for Google Analytics Admin API, then select and Enable it.

  5. Return to Enable APIs and Services to confirm these APIs appear in the list.
  6. Go to your CMS admin and go to More > Insights.
  7. Select the GA4 property you want to use from the Select data source drop-down menu, then Save.
