Create or update an OC Accommodation page – OpenCities

The ATDW module will automatically sync accommodation listings from ATDW into OpenCities using the OC Accommodation content type. You can also create these pages via the site tree; synced OC Accommodation pages have the same functionalities as those made within OpenCities.

To create or update an accommodation page:

If you're creating from scratch, right-click in the site tree where you want to make the page and select Create Page.
Select OC Accommodation as the content type. If you're editing an existing page, navigate to the OC Accommodation page in your site tree which you want to edit, and select Update.
Make your changes to the page fields. Please note that you cannot alter the content in the WYSIWYG Editor or other locked fields for synced accommodation.
Preview and Publish your page when you're ready.

Some fields are locked and cannot be edited in OpenCities, so you can keep the content between ATDW and OpenCities consistent. All locked fields must be updated in ATDW, which will then update in OpenCities on the next sync. Unlocked fields will not update at the next sync.

What to include on your OC Accommodation page

You can use the following information to update your OC Accommodation page fields. Any locked fields are indicated as such.

For newly created pages, there are two WYSIWYG Editors available to create content. The main body content editor can be accessed from the blue area of the template image, while the other can be accessed by selecting Accommodation facilities, accessibility information from the WYSIWYG Editor dropdown menu. Content in either WYSIWYG Editor will appear in the main content area.

Field	Purpose
Page name	Completes the unique page URL.
Accommodation name Locked for synced accommodation	The name of the accommodation.
Product short description Locked for synced accommodation	A short description of the accommodation to appear in search results and listing pages.
Primary image	Set the main accommodation image for the listing page, search results, and OC Accommodation page. This image will sync once initially and be hosted as a content file on the page. After the initial sync, this image can only be edited in OpenCities. We recommend using an image at least 900px wide to accommodate the OC Default template.
Accommodation contact details
Primary phone number	Phone number of the contact person or organization.
Secondary phone number	Secondary phone number of the contact person or organization.
Email	Email address of the contact person or organization.
Building/Venue name Locked for synced accommodation	The name of the building or venue which houses the accommodation.
Street address Locked for synced accommodation	The street location of the accommodation for Google Maps.
Locality Locked for synced accommodation	The suburb of the accommodation for Google Maps.
Postal code Locked for synced accommodation	The postcode of the accommodation for Google Maps.
Latitude Longitude Locked for synced accommodation	The latitude and longitude to determine the accommodation's location on a map.
Accommodation website (starting with http:// or https://) Locked for synced accommodation	A website URL for the accommodation.
Booking website (starting with http:// or https://) Locked for synced accommodation	The booking website URL for the accommodation.
Links to social media	Links to the social media pages for your accommodation.
Accommodation details
Accommodation type	Allocate a type to the accommodation. These types appear on the content page and are used as a search filter for the accommodation listing page. ATDW has set types, and any that do not exist in OpenCities will not sync through. If you need to add or remove Accommodation types, you can do so in the Accommodation Site Management settings.
Indicative rates Locked for synced accommodation	A short indication of the rates for the accommodation.
Cost description	Provide information about the cost of the accommodation.
Image Gallery	Accommodation-related images for an image gallery on the content page. These images will be hosted on your ATDW account. The links and captions to these images will sync once initially, and after that will need to be edited from OpenCities.
Video Gallery	Accommodation-related videos for a video gallery on the content page. These videos will be hosted on your ATDW account. The links to these videos will sync once initially, and after that will need to be edited from OpenCities.
Supporting information
Content labels	These labels organize your content internally, and you can use them to build content lists. These labels are not visible to site visitors. Content labels will sync once from ATDW, and be added to the system if they're not available already. However, after the original sync, content labels will need to be manually added or removed.
